　　It was really an exciting experience. From it, I know English is so important and useful that we should study it well.

　　One afternoon,my friend and I were walking in the bustling street when I suddenly stopped at the crossing.Oh! My god! I saw two foreigners standing in front of the bank.

　　I pushed my friend, she turned around and saw them,too. It seemed that she was excited as I was. Then we looked at each other."Shall we go up to speak to them?"I asked her with a smile."We certainly do."she answered."But...what shall we say?"I asked again."Er...thats a problem."

　　We both had no idea.

　　Suddenly,I shouted:"I know!Its the best way to ask them the way,isnt it?"As the foreigners were moving towards the other side of the street,she shouted:"We must be quickly! We cant miss this chance!"We ran after them as fast as we could.

　　At last we were walking abreast with them.Say or not? Theres no time to hesiate,I tried my best to say"Excuse me..."

　　With a smile they turned to me and said:"Can I help you?"I knew I was succesful at that moment...

　　As far as my ideal job is concerned, I think I want to be a psychologist. I have made up my mind to do what I really want to so that I can realize my idea. I believe interest is of the utmost importance in choosing a job. I have been interested in psychology for a long time, so I want to be a psychologist in the future. I think being a psychologist can help lots of people lead a happier life.

　　Perhapsbecause of heredity, I was born to fat. My parents are overweight. Even though Ididn’t eat too much, I couldn’t loss my weight. Therefore, I was laughed at bymy classmates sometimes, which made me self-abased. Therefore, I decided tolose weight after graduating from primary school. For the sake of my health, myparents supported me a lot.

　　They even made a plan for me. For example, I mustget up six thirty and do some running for about forty minutes. In theafternoon, I went to swim for about half and an hour. This was the only thing Iexpected.

　　I like swimming. I can’t eat much in lunch and dinner.

　　The food wasmainly vegetables. It was so hard, because I liked hamburger, meat, anddessert.

　　I had to say no to them all. Besides, I couldn’t sit down within anhour after a meal. Luckily, after two and half months, I lost ten kilograms andI had no discomfort. I felt like I live in a rebirth. My friends were so surprisedthat I changed so much. The most important is that I became much more confidentand healthy.

　　午餐和晚餐我都不能多吃，食物以蔬菜為主，這讓我覺得很艱難，因為我喜歡吃漢堡，吃肉還有甜食，但是那些東西我都不能再吃了。還有，飯后一小時內我都不能坐下。幸運的是，經(jīng)過兩個半月的努力，我減掉了十公斤，而且我的身體并沒有任何不適。我感覺自己獲得了重生，朋友們都驚嘆我變化如此之大。最重要的是，我比以前自信了很多，也健康了很多。

　　i happened to chance upon this poem a while ago when i was checking my email. do not stand at my grave and weep is a poem largely considered to be written by mary elizabeth frye (1904-), but of disputed origin. of course the reason i am sharing this remarkable verse here is not to discuss who is the original author but to share with you the power and wisdom in the words. it was said that frye first wrote this poem in 1932 for a german jewish friend, margaret schwarzkopf. margaret schwarzkopf had been worrying about her mother, who was ill in germany. the rise of anti-semitism had made it unwise for her to join her mother. when her mother died, she told mary frye she had not had the chance to stand by her mother’s grave and weep.

　　frye wrote the poem as part of her condolences. like frye who wrote this inspiring verse for her friend, i would like to share this remarkable verse with you and to the survivors of myanmar’s (burma) cyclone and china’s earthquake. may this poem inspires, consoles and strengthens their human spirits.
