Globally， we have moved from a culture centered on network television， cable， AM and FM radio and telephone into a digital society with mass media，streaming information， intelligent computer。 To shift to a digital economy， best demonstrated by the explosive growth of the Internet， is transforming everyday products and practices。 Ideas expressed in soft wares， chips， communication systems， financial institutions and mass media have enormous leverage worldwide。 Beyond emails and online shopping， the Internet promises to change dramatically huge spectrum activities。 Its benefits can be well illustrated in the following aspects。
In the first place， it contributes to escape us from laborious work， save our time， facilitate our lives。 Secondly， with computer’s extensive reach into every corner of the world， a perspective of human life can be shown only with a single keystroke。 No matter where we are， in school， business workshops， operating rooms， labs， banks of halls of government， the Internet appears to reflect a perspective of human life。 Furthermore， computer profits us by relaxation and entertainment it provides。
But on the other hand， some people debate that it is also inconvenient， waste the time， isolated us from people only with the company of computers， and make our lives more complicated。 Some people repair the most sophisticated computer but can’t mend a pair of socks。 Yet in fact， computer collapse the distances and demolishes all boundaries。 Whether computer is a blessing or a curse， depends on different circumstance and the way you use it。

Miss Canada Natalie Glebova was crowned Miss Universe 20xx in Bangkok on Tuesday at the climax of a beauty pageant that once again managed to stumble into controversy.
Glebova, a 23-year-old motivational speaker from Toronto, succeeded last year's winner, Australian Jennifer Hawkins, after the usual evening gown and swimsuit parades that pull in TV viewers worldwide but outrage feminists and traditionalists .
Even though hotly tipped for the title, the final announcement appeared to stun Glebova, who moved to Canada from her native Russia only 11 years ago.
"This is all happening too fast and it's unreal. It's slowly starting to sink in," she told reporters moments after being crowned with the glittering, diamond-encrusted Miss Universe tiara.
Dressed in a long white evening dress, she hugged her parents on stage and then praised her new homeland for giving her and her family the chance to start a new life.
"When we came 11 years ago, we came with nothing, and now we've got so much," she said.
In all, 81 beauties from Albania to Zambia made it to Thailand, riding elephants, touring temples and rollicking on tsunami-hit beaches in the run-up to Tuesday's finale.
In the middle of the show, the conference hall fell silent for a minute in memory of the more than 228,000 dead or missing from the Dec. 26 Indian Ocean tsunami. Nearly 5,400 of the victims were in Thailand.

The book I read this week entittled the Red and the Black, which is undoubtedly among the best liturature works. As a person who haven’t had much knowledge in literature, any comments on this work seem to be rather naive and even sort of reckless. But this is the only book I have access to recently. With much deliberation, I would like to write down following words.
The book mainly tells a story about a man named Julien, who came from a carpenter’s family and got a shrewd father and two elder brothers characterized by huge size and rudeness. Though he wasn’t quite athletic, he got talent with his memory. He could recite the whole contents of the Bible, which made him admired by people around him and win him a job as a family teacher. And this is the part where our story begins. Under his gorgeous face, there exists a relentless lust for fortune, power and status, all of which derive from his persuit of happiness, dignity and freedom and finally contributed to his downfall. (ing from the low class in the society and hope to achieve success with their own efforts. These people usually don’t have the necessary conditions to become successful, but they will by no means stop trying or let God tells them what their lives should be like, instead, they are willing to sacrifice anything to realize their dreams and earn their dignity. For these people, no matter what the consequences their struggle may be, I should forever pay my tribute to them. To some extent, they are the makers of the world.

I think I love him…….
But I know our love is doomed to be a tragical ending….
I hate myself!!
Two years ago, I made a great decision quit my job, everybody who knew this news supported me and hop me to leave earlier; the more I worked hard, the less I got, I think; I know it is no affair, but I entered this company for helping this boss, my former colleague, so I quit my former better job; he made a promise to me …..but nothing came true; about four years I must leave for seeking another job which is suitable for me; the decision has been completed; I feel so easy!
But who knows? After my decision, my boss may have a severe heart attack? Everyday I see his tired face and ….I can’t help crying; a poor man, a poor boss, I don’t know if I should leave or stay, I have a hesitation again;
in my life, I have never let anybody disappointment and never given up the friendship for the money, I know the friendship is greatest in my heart; but now, I become so selfish, I have suffered from the unfair and the less wage for four years, why didn’t I suffered from again now? I don’t know, maybe my leaving can let him unhappy, maybe…..but, how can I leave in this occasion? Is seem that I put a basin of cold water down his head!
I don’t know how to do and what to do! My mood become more bad, my heart become more achy, maybe my decision will become air flying into the sky, I hate myself, hate myself very much, my god!!
